The Trail Road and South March battery energy storage systems will include groundwater protection that exceeds industry standards.
From extensive community consultation, we’ve heard that protecting groundwater is an important issue, and we decided that our BESS sites will include an impermeable barrier underneath, leading to a lined retention pond and a shut-off valve for added safety.
